Apple Dumplings
2 frozen pie crusts
4 apples halved
1 stick of butter
1.5 cup sugar
2-3 T cinnamon
1.5 cup of water
Preheat oven to 350. Pool core ans tut 4 apples into halves making a total of 8 apples. Wrap each of the halves with a pie crust. Then place the wrapped apples in a 9x13" glass pan. Pour melted butter on top of dumplings.Then mix together in separate small bowl, the sugar and cinnamon. Pour th e cinnamon and sugar mixture on top of the buttered dumplings. Bake for 45-60 mins. To see if the apples are done, test with a fork. You want the water to have a syrup like consistency and the crust to be crispy and golden brown on the outside.
Tip: Serve with vanilla ice cream or cool whip.
