A Christmas recipe dedicated to Tony Henderson (1962-2023)
Blend together:
1/2 cup butter
2/4 cup brown sugar
1 t vanilla
Add
1 large egg
Then add
1/4 cup Molasses
In separate bowl mix:
2 cups flour
1 t ginger
1t baking soda
1 t cinnamon
1/2 t cloves
1/2 t baking powder
1/4 t salt
Mix dry into wet.
Press together into a disk shape. Refrigeratorate for 2 hours.
With powdered hands, roll into 1" balls. Roll balls into rough sugar. Place on greased baking sheet 2" apart.
Press into 1/2" flat. Bake at 350 for 9-15 minutes.
